The six concepts
- Curriculum
- A knowledge container for an education authority: frameworks, subjects, and outcomes belong to it.
- Version
- An immutable snapshot of a curriculum numbered YYYY.N.P. Published never changes; a correction is a new version.
- Outcome
- The atomic learning unit: a stable global id, a human-readable code, and a measurable statement.
- Provenance
- The evidence chain of every element: publisher, document, edition, locator, and retrieval date.
- Visibility
- PUBLIC, LICENSED, PRIVATE, SCHOOL_ONLY, or INTERNAL. Anything unrecognized is denied by default.
- Tenant
- The access context: global public knowledge, an organization, a school group, or a school. Every request lives in exactly one tenant.
API version vs knowledge version
/v1 describes the contract shape, and changes only in a new version.
2026.1.0 describes content, and is pinned on every read for reproducibility.
Note
/v1/… · YYYY.N.P
Grade is not Academic Level
Grade is official reference data per curriculum; Academic Level (AL01…AL12) is an internal comparative scale. There is no automatic equivalence between them, and none is presented as global.
AL01 … AL12
Partial mapping
Cross-curriculum mapping can be partial: it is shown with confidence, basis, and coverage — never claimed as identical without proof conditions.
